Cell C Has New Offerings

It’s been a busy time at Cell C lately and it’s all for the better of their customers. South Africa’s third ever mobile operator is on a mission to deliver the best possible service and with that mission comes big changes. These changes came as a bit of a surprise to most people, but will be welcomed with open arms.

So what are the changes and how will it make a difference to Cell C customers? Well let’s get right to it.

Cell C Signs New Roaming Agreement with MTN

Since launching in 2001, Cell C has had a roaming agreement in place with Vodacom, South Africa’s biggest mobile service provider. In what seemed to have come from out of nowhere, Cell C announced that its agreement with Vodacom would be no more and in its place would be a new roaming agreement with MTN.

This new agreement means that now Cell C customers in smaller cities as well more rural areas, will get to enjoy 4G roaming on the MTN network, while the Vodacom agreement only provided access to 3G.

Cell C Launches Any Network Voice Bundles

As a result of Cell C customers showing, what Cell C calls, a strong preference to customise their plans, the company has sprung into action and given the people what they want.

The new voice bundles can be added on to select voice contracts and are available for on-network as well any-network. This means a Cell C customer can now purchase a voice bundle specifically for use in calling other Cell C subscribers or for use in calling subscribers of other networks, with a set rate per minute, minute allocation and options in terms of the validity period of these bundles.
